Matured for 12 months in older 225- and 300-litre barrels. Red and black berries, floral perfume, fynbos and a little undergrowth on the nose. Medium bodied with fresh acidity fine tannins. Balanced and lightly dry on the finish.

On the nose the aromas are blueberry, mixed herbs, bruised plum and some lovely cigar box flavours. The wine is highly concentrated with a big, but elegant mid-palate and a long finish. This wine has great potential for ageing.
