John Spicer Syrah is named after our first-born child and only son. His names, as Katharien’s, are family names.

On the nose the intense dark fruit, cherry and blackcurrant followed by charming violets and spice. This complex wine, even at this youthful age, expresses the integrated French oak very well, with notes of tobacco and fresh leather.
A smooth entry and an elegant palate, a Kleinood Tamboerskloof signature. The power on the mid-palate makes this wine, unmistakably, a Stellenbosch Syrah.
