Kleine Zalze Cellar Selection Chenin Blanc

The nose shows beautiful pear and fresh citrus, particularly grapefruit, perhaps kumquat. There are musky herbal notes present here too, difficult to define, something like rooibos. As always, the wine has a striking sense of purity. That classic Skurfberg saline vigour underpins the whole palate. This vintage is medium-bodied yet rich in flavour, with good length and balance.

Nose: Fragrant fruity aromas burst from the nose.

Palate: Intense ripe melon, guava and pineapple flavours.

Finish: A tangy and irresistible finish with lingering honey notes.

A collection of rare Tamboerskloof wines inspired by the exceptional grapes that cross our path. “The charm of these wines lies in the quality of the grapes, the care of the hands that create them, and the soul of the places that they come from.” Each wine comes in a recycled paper bag, tied at the top with a thinly cut tyre tube. This is a pale straw-coloured wine has a lively nose, starting with wild flower and white pear.

Dominant pineapple, peach and ripe pear aromas with notes of spicy oak. A rich mouth-filling wine with good structure and a long finish of dried fruit, white flowers and subtle minerality.
