Bon Courage Like Father Like Son Chenin Blanc

A complex expression of three mountainous vineyards, featuring shale, greywacke and granite soils. From vines planted as early as 1972.

Grapes from various old-vine sites. Some reduction before peach, citrus and hay. Good depth of fruit and well-integrated acidity – as with many examples of Swartland Chenin from this vintage, this wine is textured and substantial even at low alcohol, 12.5% in this instance. Not overtly expressive but still layered

Tropical- and stone fruit flavours supported by a burst of citrus on the palate. Well integrated with amazing texture

Dominant pineapple, peach and ripe pear aromas with notes of spicy oak. A rich mouth-filling wine with good structure and a long finish of dried fruit, white flowers and subtle minerality.
