Du Toitskloof Chardonnay

Matured in 2nd/3rd fill French oak barrels for approximately 8 months. Forthcoming and diverse nose of citrus, vanilla and peach.Intense mouth-feel with flavours of grapefruit, lime, vanilla and butterscotch. Rich flavours with a long finish expressing characters of crème-brulee.

The nose shows poise and precision. Wet stone and minerality, supported by aromas of shortbread and white stone fruit, followed by a very attractive nutty toastiness, gives context to the bouquet. The palate is zesty and lively with crystalline definition and purity. White pears and quince follow, with hints of acacia flower succulence and subtle hints of vanilla and toast. A palate of considerable poise, yet enduring length and structure.

This fruit-driven Chardonnay comes alive with citrus and lime flavours on the nose. Dried peaches, vanilla and subtle wood flavours carries through to the palate of this well balanced wine.
